In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders basketball team scored a close 49-44 triumph over the Rushville Lions.

The Marauders (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against East Central (St. Leon, IN). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, East Central nipped Columbus East (Columbus, IN), 51-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Tri Titans (Straughn, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, November 23. Rushville will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Titans go into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 55-10 league win over Hagerstown (Hagerstown, IN).
