November 26, 2024: Independence, MS 38618 Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS), 38-21 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Independence upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Wildcats host North Panola (Sardis, MS) to face the Cougars in a 3A Region 2 match on Tuesday, December 3. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-1.
The now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Panola for a 6A Region 1 match on Friday, December 6.
