The North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) basketball edged the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), 45-41 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Comets now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they host West Stanly for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 3. North Stanly will play a Colts team coming off a 41-27 non-league win over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Colts record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Montgomery Central falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to play the Fighting Scots in a non-league bout on Monday, December 2.
