North Carolina High School Basketball - Draughn ripped by Freedom

November 28, 2023: Valdese, NC 28690

The Freedom Patriots basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Draughn Wildcats to 41 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hickory for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Freedom will battle a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 57-29 non-league win over Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 1-1.

The Wildcats (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, East Burke triumphed over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 62-53, in a non-league contest.
