November 28, 2023: Monroe, OH 45050 The Monroe Hornets defeated the visiting Hamilton Big Blue basketball team by a tally of 50-39 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Hornets now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern battle on Thursday, November 30. Monroe will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 52-39 non-league win over Eaton (Eaton, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
The Big Blue (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Middletown (Middletown, OH). The Middies come into the Greater Miami battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Middletown dropped by Summit Country Day (Cincinnati, OH), 34-31, in a non-league battle.
