The South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets to 42 in the Thoroughbreds non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thoroughbreds now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Silver Bluff for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. South Aiken will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 48-44 non-league win over Barnwell (Barnwell, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.

The Diamond Hornets (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Keenan (Columbia, SC). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Keenan ran past A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC), 43-40, in a non-league contest.
