The Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Central Eagles (Pageland, SC), 58-54 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their test against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, East Mecklenburg got by Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 52-45, in a non-league test.
