The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) and the visiting Jordan Panthers (Long Beach, CA), observed Downey's basketball team overcome Jordan by a margin of 44-34.

The Vikings (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakewood (Lakewood, CA). The Lancers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Lakewood defeated King/Drew (Los Angeles, CA), 56-43, in a non-league challenge.
