The South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA) basketball nipped the visiting Belle Chasse Cardinals (Belle Chasse, LA), 47-44 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Hurricanes (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Phoenix (Braithwaite, LA). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record.
