Texas High School Basketball - Coronado tipped by Burleson
December 1, 2023: Burleson, TX 76028 The Burleson Elks basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Coronado Mustangs to 62 in the Elks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Elks now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mansfield Summit for a 5A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, December 5. Burleson will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 54-48 non-league loss to Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 7-6.
The Mustangs (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ferris (Ferris, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Ferris was nudged by Palmer (Palmer, TX), 45-43, in a non-league contest.
