Texas High School Basketball - Canyon tops Poteet
December 1, 2023: Canyon, TX 79015 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX) and the visiting Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX), saw Canyon's basketball squad knock off Poteet by a count of 41-31.
With the victory, Canyon upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Boswell (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 2. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 12-2. Boswell won 75-48 in their recent non-league challenge against North Forney (Forney, TX)
Next up, the Pirates play the North Forney Falcons (Forney, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 2. Poteet will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 75-48 non-league loss to Boswell (Fort Worth, TX).
