Texas High School Basketball - El Paso nips Taft

December 1, 2023: San Antonio, TX 78253

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the El Paso Tigers (El Paso, TX) and the host Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX), saw El Paso's basketball squad hold off Taft by a count of 40-36.

With the victory, El Paso upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Irvin (El Paso, TX) to play the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 2. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Irvin lost 56-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Southside (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Raiders play the KIPP University Prep (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 2. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 49-14 non-league loss to Bandera (Bandera, TX).
