Kentucky High School Basketball - Marion County tops Washington County
December 1, 2023: Springfield, KY 40069 Marion County Knights (Lebanon, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY), 50-39 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Marion County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Knights host John Hardin (Elizabethtown, KY) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-0. John Hardin won 78-10 in their recent non-league bout against Caverna (Horse Cave, KY)
Next up, the Commanders play the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY) in a District 19 bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Washington County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles/Banshees come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 81-62 non-league loss to McCracken County (Paducah, KY).
