Texas High School Basketball - Coronado tops Midland Legacy

December 2, 2022: El Paso, TX 79912

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX), saw Coronado's basketball squad knock off Midland Legacy by a count of 56-41.

With the victory, Coronado upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Eastwood (El Paso, TX) to play the Troopers in a 6A Region I District 1 challenge on Wednesday, December 7. The Troopers come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Eastwood lost 39-31 in their recent non-league challenge against V.R. Eaton (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Rebels play the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 3. Midland Legacy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 56-38 non-league loss to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX).
