Louisiana High School Basketball - East Ascension overwhelms Ursuline Academy
December 2, 2022: Gonzales, LA 70737 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) and the visiting Ursuline Academy Lions (New Orleans, LA), saw East Ascension's basketball squad wallop Ursuline Academy by a tally of 54-11.
With the victory, East Ascension improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Dutchtown (Geismar, LA) to confront the Griffins in a 5A District 5 challenge on Friday, December 2. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Dutchtown won 50-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA)
Next up, the Lions confront the Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Ursuline Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 60-43 non-league win over Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA).
