Kansas High School Basketball - Winfield topped by Chanute
December 5, 2023: Chanute, KS 66720 The Chanute Blue Comets basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Winfield Vikings to 32 in the Blue Comets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Blue Comets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ottawa for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Chanute will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 63-27 non-league win over Shawnee Mission North (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Cyclones record now stands at 1-1.
The Vikings (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Arkansas City (Arkansas City, KS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Arkansas City was defeated by Clearwater (Clearwater, KS), 53-33, in a non-league contest.
