In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Blacksburg Wildcats basketball team scored a good 69-53 triumph over the Union County Yellowjackets.

The Wildcats (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Broome (Spartanburg, SC). The Centurions go into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Broome topped High Point Academy (Spartanburg, SC), 44-18, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets confront the Newberry Bulldogs (Newberry, SC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Union County will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record.
