In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Andrew Jackson Volunteers basketball team scored a good 27-19 triumph over the Lakewood Gators.

The Volunteers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Indian Land topped Butler (Matthews, NC), 40-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Gators confront the Dreher Blue Devils (Columbia, SC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 12. Lakewood will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
