The Walnut Wildcats basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Alcorn Central Bears to 36 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now have a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Vardaman for a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. Walnut will confront a Rams team coming off a 62-56 non-league loss to Mantachie (Mantachie, MS). The Rams record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Alcorn Central falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to McNairy Central (Selmer, TN) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10.
