Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Illinois School for the Deaf Tigers (Jacksonville, IL), 52-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brown County upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Hornets travel to Havana (Havana, IL) to play the Ducks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Ducks go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Havana lost 69-44 in their recent non-league bout against Brimfield (Brimfield, IL)

Next up, the Tigers play the North Greene Spartans (White Hall, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Illinois School for the Deaf will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 34-26 non-league loss to Barry Western (Barry, IL).
