The Heritage Hawks basketball squad (Newnan, GA), was nudged 56-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Meadowcreek Mustangs (Norcross, GA)

With the victory, Meadowcreek advances its record to 4-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Berkmar (Lilburn, GA) to meet the Patriots in a AAAAAA Region 7 battle on Tuesday, December 10. The Patriots enter the battle with a record of 3-5. Berkmar won 46-36 in their recent league battle against North Gwinnett (Suwanee, GA)

The Hawks now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Spirit Prep for a GIAA AA Region 1 battle on Tuesday, December 10. Heritage will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 58-56 league win over Atlanta Jewish Academy (Atlanta, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 1-2.
