In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Spartanburg Vikings basketball team scored a tight 56-55 triumph over the Northwestern Trojans.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 13. Spartanburg will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 2-7 record after their 45-29 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, SC).
