Sumter Fighting Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Crestwood Knights (Sumter, SC), 49-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sumter upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Fighting Gamecocks travel to Summerville (Summerville, SC) to clash with the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 6-3.

Next up, the Knights clash with the Scott's Branch Eagles (Summerton, SC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Crestwood will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 53-29 non-league loss to Lee Central (Bishopville, SC).
