December 9, 2023: Belton, TX 76513 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) and the visiting Marcus Marauders (Flower Mound, TX), saw Belton's basketball squad hold off Marcus by a tally of 54-52.
With the victory, Belton improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX) to play the Bulldawgs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Bulldawgs come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Copperas Cove lost 63-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Round Rock (Round Rock, TX)
Next up, the Marauders play the Plano East Panthers (Plano, TX) in a 6A Region I District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Marcus will attempt to improve on its 12-2 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 13-0 record after their 64-37 non-league win over Putnam City West (Oklahoma City, OK).
