The Seguin Matadors basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Cuero Gobblers to 44 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Matadors now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Navarro for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 1. Seguin will battle a Panthers team coming off a 43-39 non-league loss to San Marcos (San Marcos, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 9-2.

The Gobblers (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Somerset (Somerset, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Somerset ran past Cole (San Antonio, TX), 60-31, in a non-league contest.
