Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bangs Dragons (Bangs, TX), 58-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rio Vista upgrades its record to 2-11 on the season. The Eagles host Maypearl (Maypearl, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Maypearl won 54-37 in their recent non-league bout against Springtown (Springtown, TX)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Bangs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 64-32 non-league win over Johnson City (Johnson City, TX).
