December 10, 2022: Elysian Fields, TX 75642 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Shelbyville Dragons (Shelbyville, TX) and the host Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX), saw Shelbyville's basketball squad knock off Elysian Fields by a count of 35-17.
With the victory, Shelbyville upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Dragons host Joaquin (Joaquin, TX) to play the Rams in a 2A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Joaquin lost 48-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Hudson (Lufkin, TX)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the West Rusk Raiders (New London, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 challenge, on Wednesday, December 14. Elysian Fields will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 36-33 non-league loss to San Augustine (San Augustine, TX).
