Weatherford Christian Lions (Weatherford, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX), 54-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Weatherford Christian upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Lions travel to Bethesda Christian (Fort Worth, TX) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Bethesda Christian lost 72-26 in their recent non-league bout against Bowie (Bowie, TX)

Next up, the Porcupines clash with the North Dallas Bulldogs (Dallas, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Springtown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 52-38 non-league loss to Turner (Carrollton, TX).
