The Horizon Scorpions basketball squad (El Paso, TX), was crushed 46-21 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX)

With the victory, Parkland advances its record to 9-8 on the year. The Matadors host Hanks (El Paso, TX) to meet the Knights in a 5A Region I District 2 battle on Tuesday, December 17. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 3-9.

The Scorpions now own a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hanks for a 5A Region I District 2 battle on Friday, December 13. Horizon will meet a Knights squad coming off a 45-37 league loss to Bel Air (El Paso, TX). The Knights record now stands at 3-9.
