Iowa High School Basketball - North Mahaska can't hold off Prairie City-Monroe
December 11, 2023: New Sharon, IA 50207 The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host North Mahaska Warhawks to 46 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Monday.
The Mustangs now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perry for a Heart of Iowa - Large contest on Tuesday, December 12. Prairie City-Monroe will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 63-55 league loss to South Hamilton (Jewell, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 1-4.
The Warhawks (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA). The Tigerhawks come into the South Iowa Cedar contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Colfax-Mingo was nudged by Montezuma (Montezuma, IA), 70-44, in a league contest.
