In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Ferndale Yellow Jackets basketball team scored a close 47-45 triumph over the Blacklick Valley Vikings.

The Yellow Jackets (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Meyersdale (Meyersdale, PA). The Red Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Meyersdale was tipped by Windber (Windber, PA), 81-37, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays (Johnstown, PA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 16. Blacklick Valley will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.
