Florida High School Basketball - East Lake tops Cypress Creek

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the East Lake Eagles (Tarpon Springs, FL) and the visiting Cypress Creek Coyotes (Wesley Chapel, FL), saw East Lake's basketball squad knock off Cypress Creek by a count of 54-36.

With the victory, East Lake upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Countryside (Clearwater, FL) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Countryside won 71-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Dunedin (Dunedin, FL)

Next up, the Coyotes play the Zephyrhills Bulldogs (Zephyrhills, FL) in a 5A District 6 challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. Cypress Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 77-66 non-league loss to Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL).
