In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Melrose Buffaloes basketball team scored a big 59-34 triumph over the Ruidoso Warriors.

The Buffaloes (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Piedra Vista was trounced by Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 53-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors confront the Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 19. Ruidoso will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 62-30 non-league loss to Hondo Valley (Hondo, NM).
