In Thursday's non-league test, the Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball squad defeated the visiting Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Spartans (Pharr, TX), by a final score of 62-45.

Next, the Buccaneers clash with the Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 13. Miller will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 11-8 record after their 67-54 non-league loss to La Feria (La Feria, TX).

The Spartans (6-5) will now prepare for their test against IDEA Edinburg College Prep (Edinburg, TX). The come into the 3A Region IV District 31 test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, IDEA Edinburg College Prep went down by IDEA North Mission (Mission, TX), 47-34, in a league test.
