The Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) basketball edged the host Blacksburg Wildcats (Blacksburg, SC), 52-49 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Chester for a non-league bout on Monday, December 16. Union County will play a Cyclones team coming off a 56-23 non-league win over Buford (Lancaster, SC). The Cyclones record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Blacksburg falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Greenville Tech Charter (Greenville, SC) to play the Warriors in a AA Region 1 bout on Friday, December 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Greenville Tech Charter won 28-22 in their recent non-league bout against Greer Middle College (Taylors, SC)
