Minnesota High School Basketball - Crookston holds off Grafton
December 12, 2024: Crookston, MN 56716 The Crookston Pirates basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Grafton Spoilers to 58 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Pirates now have a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Wadena-Deer Creek for a AA Section 8 game on Saturday, December 14. Crookston will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 54-50 league win over Park Rapids (Park Rapids, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Grafton falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Spoilers travel to Four Winds/Minnewaukan (Fort Totten, ND) to confront the Indians in a A Region 2 game on Monday, December 16. The Indians go into the game with a record of 1-2. Four Winds/Minnewaukan lost 76-33 in their recent league game against Thompson (Thompson, ND)
