South Carolina High School Basketball - Calhoun County holds off Williston-Elko
December 13, 2022: St. Matthews, SC 29135 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) and the visiting Williston-Elko Blue Devils (Williston, SC), saw Calhoun County's basketball squad hold off Williston-Elko by a tally of 30-26.
With the victory, Calhoun County improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Saints host Allendale-Fairfax (Fairfax, SC) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Allendale-Fairfax lost 39-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Wade Hampton (Hampton, SC)
Next up, the Blue Devils confront the North Eagles (North, SC) in a A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, December 16. Williston-Elko will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 74-25 league loss to Denmark-Olar (Denmark, SC).
