The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets nipped the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots basketball squad by a final score of 81-77 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Yellow Jackets face the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont outing, on Thursday, December 19. Bessemer City will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record.

The Patriots (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC). The Bears enter the non-league outing with a 4-2 record.
