The North East Carolina Prep Husky basketball squad (Tarboro, NC), was outscored 82-74 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC)

With the victory, Southside advances its record to 1-5 on the year. The Seahawks host Princeton (Princeton, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 19. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 3-5. Princeton lost 51-42 in their recent non-league battle against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC)

The Husky now own a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington County for a 1A Four Rivers battle on Tuesday, December 17. North East Carolina Prep will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 87-66 non-league win over Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-0.
