Georgia High School Basketball - Elbert County knocks off Banks County
December 13, 2024: Elberton, GA 30635 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) and the visiting Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA), observed Elbert County's basketball team overcome Banks County by a score of 59-39.
The Blue Devils (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hart County (Hartwell, GA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Hart County defeated Athens Academy (Athens, GA), 45-43, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Leopards battle the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA) in a A D1 Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Banks County will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 50-45 non-league loss to Social Circle (Social Circle, GA).
