Virginia High School Basketball - Chancellor can't hold off Riverbend

Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Chancellor Chargers (Fredericksburg, VA), 46-44 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Riverbend advances its record to 2-4 on the year. The Bears host Mountain View (Stafford, VA) to face the Wildcats in a Commonwealth match on Tuesday, December 17. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 2-2.

The Chargers now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stafford for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21.
