In Friday's non-league contest, the host Mingus Marauders basketball team scored a big 61-25 triumph over the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks.

The Marauders (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, AZ). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Gilbert Christian smashed Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ), 53-18, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Golden Hawks battle the Thatcher Eagles (Thatcher, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. Desert Sunrise will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 64-25 non-league loss to Show Low (Show Low, AZ).
