North Carolina High School Basketball - North Buncombe holds off Freedom

December 13, 2024: Weaverville, NC 28787

The North Buncombe Black Hawks basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Freedom Patriots to 45 in the Black Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Black Hawks now have a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lamar County for a non-league game on Saturday, December 14. North Buncombe will confront a Trojans team coming off a 58-51 non-league win over T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Freedom falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Cavaliers go into the game with a record of 8-0. East Burke won 74-69 in their recent league game against Maiden (Maiden, NC)
