In Thursday's non-league match, the host Pleasant Grove Vikings basketball team scored a tight 57-52 triumph over the Alta Hawks.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the Cyprus Pirates (Magna, UT) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 15. Pleasant Grove will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Pirates enter the match with a 3-3 record after their 53-19 non-league loss to Davis (Kaysville, UT).

With the defeat, Alta moves to 6-2 on the year. The Hawks host Kearns (Kearns, UT) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 19. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 4-3.
