Georgia High School Basketball - Dorman can't get by Habersham Central
December 14, 2024: Mt. Airy, GA 30563 Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Dorman Cavaliers (Roebuck, SC), 62-60 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Habersham Central advances its record to 9-1 on the year. The Raiders travel to Jackson County (Jefferson, GA) to meet the Panthers in a AAAAA Region 8 match on Tuesday, December 17. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 4-6. Jackson County won 61-59 in their recent league match against Clarke Central (Athens, GA)
The Cavaliers now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gate City for a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. Dorman will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 67-46 non-league loss to Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-2.
