Victory Christian Vikings (Carmichael, CA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Leroy Greene Academy Lions (Sacramento, CA), 54-51 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Victory Christian advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to Mesa Verde (Citrus Heights, CA) to face the Mavericks in a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 1-7. Mesa Verde lost 74-41 in their recent non-league match against Calaveras (San Andreas, CA)

The Lions now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Creative Connections Arts Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. Leroy Greene Academy will face a Dragons squad coming off a 71-18 non-league loss to Sacramento Waldorf (Fair Oaks, CA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-3.
