In Saturday's non-league test, the Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV) basketball squad got by the visiting Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), by a score of 64-63.

Next, the Timberwolves encounter the South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) in a Mountain State test, on Tuesday, December 17. Spring Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Black Eagles come into the test with a 2-0 record after their 69-49 non-league win over Expression Prep Academy (Huntington, WV).
