In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Valley Patriots basketball team scored a good 43-25 win over the Sterling City Eagles.

The Patriots (13-1) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Elliott (Briscoe, TX). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Fort Elliott defeated Silverton (Silverton, TX), 57-50, in a non-league contest.
