Maryland High School Basketball - Manchester Valley holds off Winters Mill
December 15, 2023: Westminster, MD 21157 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD) and the host Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD), saw Manchester Valley's basketball squad hold off Winters Mill by a tally of 54-51.
With the victory, Manchester Valley improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Liberty (Sykesville, MD) to confront the Lions in a Carroll County challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Liberty won 71-34 in their recent league challenge against Westminster (Westminster, MD)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Francis Scott Key Eagles (Union Bridge, MD) in a Carroll County challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Winters Mill will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 54-52 non-league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, MD).
