In Friday's non-league outing, the Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX) basketball squad beat the host Somerset Bulldogs (Somerset, TX), by a margin of 60-43.

The Patriots (20-1) will now prepare for their outing against Medina Valley (Castroville, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 6-12 record. In their last outing, Medina Valley was topped by Pieper (San Antonio, TX), 60-40, in a non-league outing.
